Gitane Workshop offers a full collection of unique, contemporary furniture as well as custom design and fabrication services for residential and commercial clients. The designs within they’re collection tend to be structurally driven and detail oriented with an attempt to bring out the natural beauty of the materials with which they are constructed.

Biscayne Bay Coffee Table
Combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary forms, the Biscayne Bay coffee table is the newest member of the Gitane Collection. This simple yet elegant design celebrates the natural beauty and structural qualities of wood. It is constructed entirely of solid walnut or reclaimed poplar using doweled half lap joints which we feel contrast nicely with the uniquely sculpted legs. The strength of this design is in its balance, proportion and celebration of materials.
Ton Sai Coffee Table
A structurally driven design with clean lines and attention to detail. The Ton Sai Coffee Table is crafted from thick-walled steel and solid hardwood. Metal connections are drilled and machine screwed leaving a crisp look unlike welded construction. In the Standard version of this piece the hardwood elements are cylindrical in shape resulting in pure forms (shown in Ash hardwood). The sculpted version has the same metal frame but the hardwood elements have been lathe turned to have concave surfaces offering a more elegant end product (shown in Walnut).
• Wood: Available in red oak, walnut, cherry and ash. Custom wood species available upon request. Finished in polyurethane.
• Glass: 3/8″ thick with pencil edge and rounded corners.
• Steel: Powder coated clear over brushed steel surface.
